Stay Wild
My deep-mountain runners whose feet will never properly squish into dress shoes,
To my bearded brothers with smokey clothes and black grease nails,
You who love learning and challenge but grow bored of careers and small spaces,
Who climb and laugh and search with more passion than is dignified,
To my grand Alaska and sweet Appalachia, those sweeping mountains and deep green hollers,
I have just one thing to ask of you. I need you to (please-it would mean the world to me)-- just
stay wild.
Personal project for the love of snow, wild spaces, and long splitboard lines. The original was a pen and ink drawing, digitally colored.
Prints are a lovely, thick mat paper. Prints measure 12x12 inches (including the white border).
